The ski area
Val d’Isère is a world-class ski resort. Being part of the large Tignes - Val d’Isère ski area (formally the Espace Killy), this ski resort offers over 300 kilometres of pisted slopes.
A large part of the ski area is located above the Val d’Isère village (1850 metres). You can, of course, ski down easily, but expect the best views and snow conditions at the top.
A big bonus that makes this winter wonderland sooo good is that it is snow sure. All ski runs and lifts are between 1800 and 3000 metres.
Did you know? Every year at the beginning of the winter season, Val d’Isère hosts the Criterium de la Premier Neige, a world-cup giant slalom race, that takes place of the legendary slope the Bellevarde Face. A super event and a must-see if you are there.
The ski area is TOP and you can easterly find something for everyone in Val d’Isère. Taking into consideration the full ski area of Tignes - Val d’Isère (300km of slopes), over 55% are blue, 26% red and 17% black.
