One of the most famous ski resorts in the French Alps, Courchevel was created in 1946. This wonderful resort appeals to a variety of wants and needs. Made up of 6 villages, Courchevel 1850 is probably the most well-known, offering world-renowned, high-end services with a reputation of excellence.

The villages 

Saint Bon is rich in history and hosts the first-ever hotel built in Courchevel in 1908. You can visit its baroque church or even have a relaxing stroll through the streets and adjacent hamlets. 

Courchevel Le Praz immerses you directly into mountain life with its traditional altitude village and large chalets. For ski jump fans, here is where you will find the French Olympic ski jump built when Albertville hosted the 1992 winter Olympics. 

Courchevel La Tania is ideal for families. This 100% pedestrianised resort assures security and tranquillity. This village offers great access for hikers too! While on holiday here you can also visit the swimming pool, try your turn on the tennis courts and much more. 

Courchevel Village (1550) is the perfect location for holidaymakers looking for a little more peace and quiet. With a large majority of its accommodation on the snow front, and a village centre rich in life, you have everything nearby. There's also a 2.5 km sledging run during the winter months, accessible to both the younger and older generations.  

Courchevel Moriond (1650) is ideal for families and nature lovers. Saying that there is also a lively centre that draws in the younger crowds. This sunny village is the perfect place to enjoy a great holiday in the 3 Valleys!  

Courchevel 1850 is the heart of the resort's international reputation. You will find high-end hotels and luxurious boutiques. There are plenty of gourmet restaurants, as well as a lively nightlife. One thing is for sure, be prepared to have lots of fun.

The ski area 

Part of the famous 3 Valleys! When you ski Courchevel you are skiing the largest ski area in the world, with over 600km of runs to explore! Each of the 6 Courchevel villages offers easy access to the slopes. If you wish to learn to ski, snowboard or improve your skills, Oxygène Ski & Snowboard School can help with exactly that. Choose between group or private lessons! Lessons are available for all ages and levels, plus your instructors are English speaking, professional and love to make learning fun. There is also an Adaptive ski programme available, making skiing assessable to everyone.

Local life and activities 

During the winter, you can make the most of the resort's finest, from slopes to shops, restaurants to activities. There are so many things to do and for all ages. It’s a wonderful white-winter-wonderland. 

In the summer months, the resort takes on a completely different face, with luscious green seeping into the landscape from the end of the winter season. The ski lifts open up from the beginning of July until the end of August. You’ll also have access to free shuttles allowing you to navigate around the 6 separate villages easily 

Gastronomy lovers will be in heaven in Courchevel. At the foot of the slopes or in the heart of the various villages, the resort's restaurants are always happy to welcome you with delicious food and regional specialities. You’ll also find several Michelin starred restaurants here too.
