The 3 Valleys is THE biggest ski area in the world! It is located in the Tarentaise Valley and is the collection of 6 super ski resorts - Courchevel, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Val Thorens, Orelle, Les Menuires and Saint-Martin de Belleville.

With 5 months of a guaranteed winter season, it is an excellent choice for your winter holiday. There are around 600 km of wonderful ski slopes to explore too, with plenty of time to do so! Val Thorens is always one of the first resorts to launch off the winter season, and also one of the last to close.

You’ll find a variety of slopes between 1100 and 3230 metres of altitude. More than 85% of pistes are above 1800 metres and all the links to each Valley are above 2000 metres.

Another huge positive about the 3 Valleys is their 2,300 snow cannons, which cover almost 50% of the area. Yes, the 3 Valleys is a fantastic snow-guaranteed ski area perfect for your next winter holiday!

When holidaying in the 3 Valleys there are in total 339 slopes at your fingertips, including:

  • 58 green runs
  • 132 blue runs
  • 112 red runs
  • 37 black runs

In addition, there are several fun zones, such as sledging runs and freestyle areas that are not to be missed.

Ready to slide on down the famous ‘mythical’ slopes of the 3 Valleys? You must look out for:

  • The Goitschel piste in Val Thorens, named in honour of the sisters Christine and Marielle Goitschel, pioneers of this resort, and Olympic Games medalists in the 1960s.
  • The Mauduit piste in Méribel, named after Georges Mauduit, a local champion.
  • The Jean Blanc piste in Courchevel, named after one of the founding fathers of the resort.
  • The Léo Lacroix piste in Les Menuires, named after the famous Olympic medalist.

Many of the 3 Valley ski slopes are used regularly in events such as World Cup competitions. For example, the Roc de Fer was used for the 2022 Alpine Skiing World Cup and will be used in the 2023 World Championships.

The Eclipse in Courchevel will also be used for the 2023 World Ski Championship. It is an incapable piste, 3.3 km long and drops in total 970 metres of altitude. You can also discover exceptional mountain panoramas on Le Chapelet in Courchevel/La Tania, and the Folyères piste. Don’t tell everyone though, as they’ll all want to see it!

But how do we get to all these fantastic slopes? The 3 Valleys ski area has 162 ski lifts helping to make more than 25 summits accessible.

We’re lucky to be based in the 3 Valleys - Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires.
