The ski area of Serre Chevalier, located in the Hautes-Alpes, is one of the largest ski areas in Europe. There are more than 410 hectares of marked pisted runs, accessible from the 4 individual villages that make up Serre Chevalier - Briançon, Chantermerle, Villeneuve and Le Montêtier Les Bains. 

 

The slopes vary between 1200 metres and 2800 metres in altitude, of which more than 80% are located above 2000 metres. Over 1 3rd, 154 hectares, of the ski area is in fact also covered by snow cannons. This resort has one of the most extensive snowmaking networks in Europe, ensuring top-quality snow conditions for your next mountain holiday!

This winter you can come and discover the 81 fantastic slopes of this ski area. You’ll find: 

  • 13 green 

  • 26 blue 

  • 29 red 

  • 13 black 

 

You’ll find plenty of fun activities both on and off-piste including, a giant zip line, mountain karting, sledging and more. There are also some of the most magnificent picnic areas with panoramic views for you to sit back and relax while enjoying a day on the mountain. 

 

The Serre Chevalier ski area has a total of 59 ski lifts. These include: 20 chairlifts, 25 drags, 7 condoles, 3 rope pulls and 4 magic carpets. Plus, we can not forget the famous Serre Chevalier Cable Car, an 80+-year-old and the longest cable car in Europe! 

 

We’re very lucky to have an Oxygène ski school in Serre Chevalier too. There’s a selection of different lessons for children, teenagers and adults. Choose between groups or private, but no matter what you'll learn in a fun professional environment, discovering all the fantastic skiing to be done. 

 

In the summer, during the months of July and August, Serre Chevalier welcomes you to discover the mountain in a different light, with luxuriant fauna and flora! You will be left in awe of the beautiful luscious green scenery.
